Diocese of Easton 2024 Clergy & Spouse Conference

Clergy and spouses are invited to gather for our annual clergy conference from 3:30pm Monday, April 29th through 11:30am Wednesday, May1st in Ocean City, MD. Here is a Draft Agenda for a complete overview of the weekend.

This year we are pleased to have the The Venerable Jennifer McKenzie bring her years of experience in churches and non-profits to bear on the myriad challenges the church is facing in our time. Driven by faith in God and confidence in the local church, she is ready to help us re-imagine and re-calibrate for a brighter and more hope-filled future.

The Conference Fee is $250*/per clergy member.  We are pleased to invite all clergy spouses as our guests, free of charge! Fee covers programming, materials, lodging, and meals* (Tuesday dinner will be on your own).

Registrations must be submitted to the Diocese NO LATER than April 5th, 2024. No refunds will be given after April 24th, 2024.

*Confidential scholarships are available upon request.

PAYMENTS must be made at the time of registration via credit card or ACH. NO PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED  AT CLERGY CONFERENCE. Churches or individuals needing to pay with check please to contact Beth Devenny at the diocesan office prior to continuing with registration.

ABOUT OUR KEYNOTE:

The Venerable Jennifer McKenzie, a 2004 graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary (VTS), has been working as a priest in the Episcopal Church since 2005. Before becoming ordained, she served churches in California, Virginia, and D.C. as a parish administrator, youth worker, and seminarian.

In 2015, she was collated as Archdeacon of Wigan & West Lancashire, a senior cleric in the Liverpool Diocese (UK), where she oversaw the mission and ministry of 60 parish churches and missions and was a canon at Liverpool Cathedral. She returned to the US permanently in 2021 and is serving part-time as Dean’s Advisor for New Initiatives at VTS and is the founder of Church Re-Imagined, a consulting firm that is all about transforming churches and the people who lead them.

Jennifer’s husband, Ken, serves on the vestry of All Saints in Sunderland, Maryland. They are parents of three young adults, two cats, and a very large puppy.
