On Sunday, April 3rd, the parish of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Berlin, celebrated the Farewell Eucharist for Reverend Michael Moyer who has accepted a call to the Pastoral Vacancy of St. Alban’s by St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Diocese of Tokyo, Anglican Church of Nippon Sei Ko Kai, Anglican Communion. Father Michael celebrated and preached at the service which was a fitting tribute to him for his 23 years as rector of St. Paul’s. It was a highly emotional service attended by an almost capacity church of family and friends. The attendance was a good demonstration of the parish’s love and affection for Father Michael. The Bishop was in attendance and installed Father Michael Moyer, Canon Missioner to the Far East residing in the Diocese of Tokyo. A beautiful reception hosted by the parish followed.
