Re: No Proposed Constitutional or Canonical Amendments Will Be Presented for Consideration at the Annual Convention Commencing March 7, 2024.
Canon 505(a)(2) requires that the Committee on Constitution and Canons (“CCC”) notify the Diocese, at least 60 days before the Annual Convention, of any proposed amendments to the Constitution or Canons that will be submitted for consideration by the Convention.
In its memorandum of July 25, 2023, CCC notified the Diocese that, pursuant to Canons 505.3(b) and 505.5(a)(1), any proposed amendments to the Diocesan Constitution or Canons for consideration at the Annual Convention must be submitted to CCC, in writing, on or before Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
At an electronic meeting on December 8, 2023, CCC confirmed that no proposed amendments were submitted, and it determined to so advise the Diocese, as required by Canon 505(a)(2). Accordingly, CCC hereby notifies the Diocese that no amendments to the Constitution or Canons will be presented at the 2024 Annual Convention.
