Constitution and Canons
The constitution and canons of the diocese shape the life of our community. The constitution establishes foundational principles, and the canons define how those principles are implemented.
Amendments to the constitution must pass in two consecutive diocesan conventions, while changes to the canons become effective after only one vote. The current constitution and canons were approved at the 2019 convention.
The Constitution and Canons Review Task Force has completed their work from 2020. The Constitutions and Canons Committee is pleased to present the results of the Task Force’s hard work and welcomes feedback from members of the Diocesan community.
