Mission Summit 2022: Invite Welcome Connect
Please join us for the second annual (first in-person) Mission Summit to be held in the Diocese of Easton! Mission Summit 2022: Invite Welcome Connect will be conducted by Mary Parmer, one of the keynote speakers from The 152nd Diocese of Easton Convention. Mary Parmer is the founder of Invite Welcome Connect, a transformational ministry that equips and empowers congregations and individuals to cultivate intentional practices of evangelism, hospitality, and belonging.
The training is being held on Saturday, October 8th 9am-4pm at Holy Trinity Oxford.
This one-day training was originally scheduled to repeat on Friday and Saturday but has been consolidated to Saturday only. This was on the recommendation of Mary Parmer in response to early registration numbers – allowing for more robust networking and idea sharing. Read more.
To each person attending the training, Presiding Bishop Michael B. Curry would say, “You are about to embark on a journey of Invite Welcome Connect, a ministry designed to help Episcopalians engage in the deep work of evangelism. How do we define evangelism? I think Mary Parmer and her ministry of Invite Welcome Connect have given us a way forward….Mary Parmer has found a way for God to guide people in sharing their stories in ways that are authentic and genuine.” (Foreword, p.ix, Invite Welcome Connect book).
The training is being provided by the Diocese at a significant discount of only $20/person (includes lunch). Registration is required to provide an accurate number count for lunches and materials.
