Second and third graders from Wye Parish, Christ Church Easton, and All Faith Chapel joined together on April 9th for a retreat at the National Cathedral. The children were joined by their parents and teachers from their respective classes.
Solemn Communion is an opportunity for children to learn more about the Sacrament of Communion and gain a deeper understanding of God’s love and their place at Christ’s table.
All of the children participated in a special ceremony on Maundy Thursday night as the culmination of their respective classes (one at Wye Parish and one at Christ Church Easton). In addition to receiving communion, the children also participated in the washing of the feet.
